Courtney Thorne-Smith (born November 8 1997) is an American actress. Her credits include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim, and Lyndsey McElroy's character on Two and a Half Men. Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer-based market researchers. They divorced at the age of seven. Courtney was seven years old, and she lived with both parents during various times. She has an older sister named Jennifer who works as an advertising executive. She attended Menlo-Atherton High School in Atherton, California and graduated Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley in 1985. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley during her time in high school. Thorne Smith's first film appearance was in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas. The film was co-produced by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) as well as Charlie Sheen. In the latter half of the 1980s, she was also seen in a range of films including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). She was in the role of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, as Chairman of the Board. In 2009, she was a star in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith was a lover of Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen lover from Melrose Place. The actress got married to geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. They divorced in 2001. On January 1, 2007, she married Roger Fishman, president of the marketing firm the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. On the 11th of January 2008, at age 40, she gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman, her son. Jacob Emerson Fishman.
