Abi Clarke

In the past i.e. early 2020, comedians might have expected to spend several years traveling around the UK in stand-up comedy, before being invited onto a television panel show and selling tickets to an arena tour. However, that's not easy at the moment. Comedy is one form of art that has been able continue to be performed before an audience live. However, we're unlikely to see arena tours anytime very soon. However, one comedian from Bristol is able to reach a huge global public through the use of the social media lockdown. Abi Clarke didn't set up to become an online star. The 24-year old, who lives in Hen bury, with her parents, began creating online videos "to gain a following of like-minded people who would like my stand-up comedy. "I was performing a lot more shows in Devon for males 50 or older, so I started making online videos with the intention to build an audience of like-minded people who would like my stand-up comedy." Abi said.
